What's a Salguod?

Salguod is just a guy trying to find his way in a post-modern, emergent Christian world with a pretty modern perspective. I've been a Christian since 1988, but I feel like I'm still figuring out what that means. I'm married, a father of 3 girls and a member of my church. Oh, and Salguod is just my name, Douglas, backwards (but you can call me Doug).

Scripturizer Plugin

This is a test to see if my new plug in works. It's called Scripturizer from Dean Peters of "Heal Your Church Website". He wrote the basics and had some help getting the bugs/enhancements worked out.

So what is it? Whell I type in "J o h n 3 : 1 6" and what comes out is John 3:16. Notice the link? Cool huh? I've been doing all these links in my QT juornal manually and it really bogs down my progress. Thanks Dean for sharing.

Comments

Thanks for the kind words ... just one thing though, make sure you also add the scripturize argument to your archive templates.

OK, it's not working. I don't know why and I can't play with it anymore tonight. Hmph.

I sorta fixed it. I had cut and pasted the template tag text and I went back and typed it in manually and now it works. Well, it produces a link anyway. Biblegateway doen't seem to understand the link, but there's a link. Baby steps I guess.

Got it. First, the cut and paste of the template tag inserted slated quotes instead of vertical quotes ("). Second, using "1" doesn't link right, for me anyway, I needed to use "NIV".

Scripture references will be linked to BibleGateway (New International Version) after posting. Be sure to use periods with abbreviations (For example use Gen. not Gen for Genesis).
