1971 Ford Mustang Shelby

The stripe lettering looks kinda fake and I never heard of a Shelby Europa, but it did have official looking dash and fender tags.

This yellow 71 or 72 Mustang is a Shelby Europa clone with many deviations with the original cars.

Thanks for stopping by. For others, Rauno shared with me by email this site with details on the Europa. As the site indicates, he's the owner of the only 2 convertibles known to exist.

Looking at the pictures on that site, this car differs by the wheels, the lack of the chrome bumper & grille surround and possibly the addition of the scoops on the quarter panel, although it looks like they are on the one car pictured on that site.

Additional deviations for this yellow clone: missing wheel opening moldings. missing hood & front fender window-side moldings, missing 351 RAM AIR-decal in the hood. Likely does not have (?) RAM AIR system, Shelby's original aluminum 351-Cleveland intake and valve covers, a special fan shroud decal, and the most important Claude Dubois' special Data Plate in the engine compartment. Shelby Europas also do have a a special aluminum gas gap with Shelby snake emblem, and also a special Italian-made "Personal" steering wheel (a am missing these original steering wheels in my both Shelby Europa convertibles and replaced with 69-Shelby steering wheels until I will fing the original ones).

The VINs of all Shelby Europas are known but the VINs for the missing (location unknown) cars are naturally not informed for public unless a car is found and confirmed to be a real genuine Shelby Europa.
