I recieved this in an email with the desciption that "NASA calls this picture "The Eye of God." Well, a little research revealed that it indeed was in NASA's Astronomy Picture of the Day back on May 10, 2003, but there's no record of NASA calling "The Eye of God" according to About.com's Urban Legends and Folklore site.
Still a cool picture though.
My first try at getting an image in a post. I think I'm getting the hang of this web thing.
Fixed your weblog's screen appearance on my home computer! The fact that it was messed up only here convinced me it had to be a problem with my monitor settings. Sure enough, it turns out that the native resolution of my home monitor (and NEC LCD) is 96 dpi, whereas almost all CRTs display at 72 dpi. The effect was to stretch everything on your pages. When I force the monitor to run at 72 dpi your page looks fine. Unfortunately, all my icons are miniscule and text is jagged. I think this means that anyone using a newer LCD at its native resolution will also see overlapping objects. But at least the problem is not with your code.
I'm glad you fixed it at home, but I'm a bit concerned that my site won't work on newer LCD's. I hope it's just yours. :-)
