Interview Questions

OK, here are your questions. Post the answers in your blog and either trackback or leave a comment here when you do. Since each question naturally lead to others, most of them are multi-parters. Because of that, I've decided to only give four questions instead of five.

Greg

  1. Who was your greatest influence spiritually in your formative years and why?
  2. What is the graduate degree you're pursuing? What lead you to that choice and where do you hope it takes you?
  3. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
  4. What has been the favorite car either you or your family has owned? If you could have any car you wanted now what would it be?

Shrode

  1. What lead you to be in the ministry? If you weren't a minister, what would you want to do?

  2. If you could ask God one question, what would it be? Why?

  3. How long have the Thinklings known each other? How much of that time were you all in one place? When did you realize that this group of guys was going to be friends for this long?

  4. What has been the favorite car either you or your family has owned? If you could have any car you wanted now what would it be?

There you go. Now each of you open the invitation to interview 5 others on you blog. Maybe you'll get a few more takers. :-)

I'm going to respond even though I am not on the list, is that fair? I'm trying to be encouraging, it makes me think, and I haven't been on-line except to get email and learn how to fill cracks in a pine wood floor since last Monday. So, I didn't know and I'm gonna give me some grace from you. :)

Greg 1) My grandfather, on my mom's side, was the most influential person in my life in my formative years. I believe his influence helped me become a Chritian later in life. He died a couple of years ago and I think about and miss him often.

Greg 3) I love where I live in Wisconsin but if I weren't here I think I'd love to live in New Zealand. I thought about moving there out of college as it's a beautiful country and there are more sheep than people.

Shrode 2) This may seem like a crazy question but it's one that's occupied my thoughts the last few years. Dear God, how to you keep a spiritual family, and specifically their leaders, from being corrupted by power and/or the world.

Shrode 4) I guess I have to answer the car question. I've been pretty bland here with a cavalier, blazer, pickup and 4 Runner. So, I'm going to change car to vehicle and say my AGCO LT70 tractor. It's 4WD, has a cab, a cummins diesel engine and a buddy seat for my daughter. It sounds, looks and is cool.

Thanks for letting me participate! :)

Sorry Doug...I don't know how to do trackbacks, but I have posted the answers on my site...http://www.kendallball.net/2005/03/07/an-interview/

Woops. I didn't know this was here. Sorry. I'll post the answers over at thinklings like I'm supposed to. I think Rob T over there was going to interview me too, but I guess he was too slow. I'll do yours first. :)

No sweat, Shrode. I figured you'd find it eventually. :-)

Salguod,

Sorry it took me so long, but I've finally answered your questions over at thinklings. And, I also embellished your questions and made up some of your reacations a tiny bit. I had fun with it! I don't really know what you're personality is like, but I basically had fun lampooning myself as I imagined a normal person's responses to my answers.

Thanks again for doing this!
