Here's some Friday goofiness I got from the Thinklings. Like most blog memes, it started somewhere else entirely and has made it through a bunch of blogs on the way here.
The deal is you go to Google and do a search for "[your name] needs". Make sure you use the quotes, and then post the first 10 items on the list on your blog (trackback or leave a comment if you do), or here in the comments. There are like ley to be more funny stuff after the first 10, so add those in too if you want.
Here's what "Doug needs":
- Doug needs to cool down, ... Sign the petition. Wait, there's a petition for this?!?
- Doug needs animation.
- Daffy Doug's needs a desktop publishing pro. Who are you calling Daffy?
- Doug needs to receive themes as well as the day's schedule one to two weeks in ...
- Doug Needs Money at Big Cartoon DataBase Well, sure, I could use the cash, but I'd rather have it in my back account than in the 'big cartoon database', whatever that is.
- THE CHANGE DOUG NEEDS TO PUT IN HIS POCKET. OK, in my pocket will do too.
- Doug needs leaders to help as he will not be there. ... Doug needs a leader to stop in around noon to ...
- DOUG NEEDS TO DEFINE HIMSELF. Well, that's just a little harsh, don't you think? People need to remember that using all caps is like shouting.
- Doug needs a hug eh? After that last one, yeah.
- And like many Americans in their 50s and 60s, Doug needs to make up for lost time. Hey, I'm not that old yet!
- Doug needs a good rebuking. Ouch.
- I think Doug needs to stop being lame. People are just mean!
- Besides, Doug needs the protein to help him develop more of that super primal instinct. That's what I'm talkin' about.
- Doug needs assistance with choosing colours, but paints with great abandon when the brush is placed in his hand. Note: Doug passed away in January 2005. No, I'm not dead yet!
- Doug needs to be recognized by the industry for all of his contributions. I've felt that way for a long time.
- Doug needs his sleep. Doug deserves his sleep. Doug wants his sleep. And that damned alarm clock is buzzing loudly from across the room. Story of my life. No, really.
- Doug is not very bright. Doug's new friends are affecting his grades. Doug needs to study. Doug must be on drugs.
- Doug needs some newer jokes.
- Doug needs a break from the Watermelon Eating Contest. This one's got a picture, check it out.
That's pretty funny. I did it too:
1)Byron needs a face lift. -Yeah probably
2)Byron needs a liver transplant. -I hope not.
3)Byron needs a title for his first porn movie. -Not into that at all.
4)Byron needs to send plaques tot he College Coaches of the Year and the corrected ones. -I didn't do that but I'll put Barry Alveraz, Joe Paterno and Charlie Weis on there. I'm not a Notre Dame fan but he seems like a pretty nice guy. Joe for longevity and changing and Barry cause he coaches the team from the promised land.
5)Byron needs 8 seconds to move. -I feel like that, right now my shoulders and fingers hurt!
6)Byron needs time to recharge his batteries. -I wish all of them were rechargeable.
7)Byron needs a little convincing. -Usually more than a little.
8)Byron needs a strong local tourism and development plan. -I'm big, but a tourist bureau?
9)Byron needs 82 votes from state representatives. -Yeah, to get rid of corruption.
10)Byron need no introduction. -A good ending.
I noted these farther down for you:
Sounds like you, but I think they're talking about Soccer not farming.
Heh.
Awww. :-)
Very true.
Scary thought.
Heh - well that didn't work so well...
Mark - I fixed it for you. You needed to surround each bullet item with the 'List Item' tags ([li] and [/li]) in addition to using the 'bullet list' tags. It's a bit confusing if you're not familiar with it.
You can always check the preview at the bottom of the screen to see what it'll look like before you post. You'll probably have to scroll down to see it.
It's funny stuff. I did it for my wife too. The weird thing is I got this feeling like google was prophetic and I should listen to what I need! It's amazing how superstitous my sinful nature can be. Watching baseball recently made me think of it too. I be superstition is a larger part of our sinful nature than we realize? Probably related to worry.
